Daniel Lawson is a Vice President, Solutions Architecture, in the Verizon Business Group leading the 5G & Enterprise Solutions team that supports the Signature Client segment. In this role, he is responsible for Verizon’s most strategic customers and brings a unified team working across technologies to deliver business outcomes. Prior to this assignment, Daniel ran the Network, Applications, and Innovation team. In that role, he was the global practice owner for the application and network portfolios with a team of network technology subject matter experts, application specialists, and lab engineers who focused on enabling digital transformation for our customers through the power of our network capabilities (including emerging technology in SDN, edge compute, deep infrastructure/application insights, automation, and AI/ML techniques). During many previous engineering and architecture roles over the last 20 years with Verizon, Daniel has supported private and public sector accounts; the financial, manufacturing, and healthcare vertical markets; and many internal initiatives. He has extensive background in enterprise networking, outsourcing and managed services, optical transport, unified communications and collaboration, contact center, and security technologies. Daniel is actively involved with the American Heart Association and serves on the Board of Directors for a Dallas, TX charity supporting the Alzheimer's research and care. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Southern Methodist University.
