Bill is the Director of Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering for Trane Technologies. In this role Bill provides strategic leadership for all aspects of Trane Technologies’ use of cybersecurity technology, working in close partnership with IT leaders and practitioners. As a key member of the Digital Risk leadership team, he serves as a thought leader in the security architecture space, and he partners with the Enterprise Architecture team and key stakeholders across the company on ensuring our IT solutions are designed, built, leveraged and managed securely.
Bill previously worked at the United States Postal Services (USPS), where he served as Director of Cybersecurity Engineering. In that role, he led a large team providing security services to 37K locations across the country. He was responsible for technology solutions supporting more than 1.5M endpoints and 950 applications, for both IT and Operational Technology (OT) networks. Additionally, Bill established the Cybersecurity GRC function at USPS. Prior to USPS, Bill held security leadership positions at Carnegie Mellon University and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Bill started his professional career as an active-duty member of the US Army, and he is still a serving member of the US Army Reserve.
